DYI Cake Stand
I found the best DYI project yet. I went thrifting today with an amazing friend Katie and we found the best plates for this!
This is what you need:
plates
candlesticks, goblets or wine glasses
E6000 glue
Super easy, this is what you do.
Step one: Wash your plate and candlestick
Step two: Using a qtip apply a thin layer of glue onto the rim of the candlestick. Make sure it is not a lot of glue. A little goes along way.
Step three: attach the candlestick to the plate. Be mindful that everything is lined up.
Step four: Place something heavy on top of the plate. Let it sit for 24 hours before using your gorgeous creation.

T-shirt Scarf
I adore these easy inexpensive scarves. I got the t-shirt for this scarf at goodwill for $2. Have to love those super sales they have. I changed this scarf up by braiding some pieces. LOVE.
If you would like to know how to make your own look at the above video. HAPPY crafting!

Lemon Bar Yumminess.
I am going to let you in on a dirty little secret favorite recipe of mine.
This receipt is for lemon bars. So good you can't eat just one. Below is what you need.
1 box of angel food cake mix
1can of lemon pie filling
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix above ingredients together with your hands. I know it feels and seems nasty but it is the easiest way to mix together. Spray your pan (I use a 9x13 pan) with some Cooking oil. You will thank me later for this extra step. Bake in oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar!
Love it!

Snowed in Sunday.
I managed to get a lot done today. It is snowing out like mad currently. We ran all of our errands early in the day before it snowed.
Food of the weekend: I made mango curry with peanut noodles for dinner. Gosh I love cooking. It really turned out excellent.
Wedding update:
My bouquet came in the mail yesterday. All I can say is wow.
Ryan printed off all the labels for the save the dates today. Progress, progress!
I have included a picture of my favorite nail art that I did after dinner tonight. Cling wrap nails. I have a previous post that explains how to do it.
Overall I had an excellent weekend. Hope you did as well

Wedding Life
I have been all consumed by the wedding as of late. Managed to get my save the dates ordered, my bouquet is in the mail and we are finalizing the rehearsal dinner this week.
You would think with all this going on there would be no time for crafting, but alas I make time. Besides my top secret project I also have been perfecting mod podge picture frames. I have included my best to date below. Cute right!
Hope your staying warm!

Mod Podge
Sometimes you come across something while crafting and you are like woo life changer. Mod Podge was like that for me. It is some what of a glue medium. I recently used it for a picture frame project that I completed. I highly recommend you check it out while crafting.

Below is a picture of the start of my project. Sorry I do not have any finalized pictures. I will tell you this, the frames turned out great and are now on my desk at work.

Fish Tacos
Today was the day my avocados were finally ripe. That means fish tacos for dinner. It was healthy and truly delicious. I mean just look at that homemade ranch dressing and homemade guacamole. Of course what are tacos without my favorite hot sauce.
Hope you had a relaxing weekend like I did!

Happy New Year
Whelp, 2013 is here. Which means it is wedding year finally.Been awhile and what have I been up to you ask?
I have really been using my crock pot lately, making all types of yummy things at least two times a week. I love the set it and done simplicity of it all. I would highly recommend you try to utilize your own crock pot that is collecting dust in the closet.
